AI Content Summarization (!yt)

The !yt command allows you to get AI-powered summaries of web content, primarily designed for YouTube videos that have transcripts.

Command: !yt <URL> Cost: 1 Snak. Model: Multiple

Features:

  • Transcript-Based Summaries: For YouTube videos, it fetches the transcript (if available) via a microservice.
  • Concise Summaries: The AI is prompted to provide a concise summary (ideally 2-3 paragraphs) highlighting key points, relevant discussion topics, and any controversial aspects, presented objectively.
  • Focus on Group Discussion: Summaries aim to provide a collective understanding suitable for group discussions about the content.

Example Usage:

Use code with caution. !yt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=your_video_id_here You can also use !summarize <URL>.

How it Works:

  1. You provide a URL (e.g., to a YouTube video).
  2. The bot attempts to fetch the transcript or main text content from the URL.
  3. If content is retrieved, it's passed to a model with a specific summarization prompt.
  4. The generated summary is then sent back to you.

Limitations:

  • YouTube Videos: Requires the video to have a publicly available transcript. Not all videos do.
  • Content Accessibility: The success of summarization depends on the bot's ability to access and parse content from the given URL.
  • Length & Complexity: Extremely long or complex content might result in more general summaries or might hit processing limits.
  • Safety Filters: The content and summary are subject to AI safety filters.
