Tech Stack

We're excited to give you a glimpse into the technology stack that powers Gaming Tier List! While we can't reveal every detail (as it would compromise security, which is a top priority for us), our goal is to provide insight into who we use and why. We strive for transparency about the infrastructure that keeps our platform running smoothly.

💾 CMS and Data​

The website is built with WordPress. To enhance its functionality, we use numerous plugins:

  • AIOSEO: Our go-to SEO plugin, providing thoughtful metadata for better search engine optimization.
  • Cloudflare: Integrated with Cloudflare, we cache our site and employ various plugins and custom settings to keep it fast and efficient.
  • PWA for WP: This plugin transforms your WordPress site into a Progressive Web App.
  • Wordfence: Ensures the site stays secure and protected from threats.

🛠️ Custom Plugins​

  • SMITE Ranker: A tailor-made tool for adjusting SMITE rankings.
  • SMITE Gods: A custom god guide database for SMITE players.

🚫 Discontinued usage:​

  • WP Rocket: We found the yearly cost excessive, considering Cloudflare already offers similar functionality.

🌐 Hosting​

  • Cloudflare: Our choice for caching and Content Delivery Network (CDN).
  • Jetpack CDN: An additional image CDN for optimized performance.
  • AWS: Amazon S3 Buckets host backups and push content to Cloudflare.

📈 Analytics​

  • Google Analytics: The industry-leading standard for validating website traffic. We use the latest GA4.
  • Microsoft Clarity: For deeper insights into how visitors interact with our website.

We rely on a premium email service to handle our email communications and protect our domains from spoofing.
