Game Truth was the original site but the branding didn't fit the content. Games journalism isn't really what the site is about, it's about tier lists and guides. So a rebranding occured moving all the content from Game Truth to Gaming Tier List.

Since then Gaming Tier List has served primarily guides and tier lists to the community, with some news only on relevant titles the site is following.
